Abstract: This report presents a novel and simple way to determine the transient response of the output of any linear system, described in the s-domain by an nth order polynomial, subjected to white Gaussian noise. The transient response of the output of the linear system is observed, in this report, in the variance of the output as a function of time. In addition, the mean and probability density function of the output are obtained. These results let simulation engineers create stable, unstable, and periodic stochastic processes for evaluation of communication and radar systems.
