Abstract: The Android Native Development Kit (NDK) provides a Java Android application a simplified mechanism to call embedded C native codes, which are used to increase the performance of a computationally intensive application. This step-by-step guide is intended to assist programmers with how to attach an NDK plugin to an Android Integrated Development Environment and how to call C functions from a Java application.
