The U.S. Army Research Laboratory recently hosted the capstone event for the lab's Network and Information Sciences International Technology Alliance. The alliance, initiated by ARL and the United Kingdom Ministry of Defense 10 years ago, is one of the first examples of a U.S. and U.K. collaborative research program under the 2002 Memorandum of Understanding established between U.S. and U.K. governments to facilitate co-operation on defense research. The capstone was the first event held in the new Network Science Research Laboratory (NSRL) at ARL's Adelphi Laboratory Center. The NSRL is a new facility dedicated to exploring network science challenges with in-person research collaboration. Maj. Gen. John F. Wharton, Commanding General, U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command and Dr. Thomas P. Russell, Director, ARL, will host a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the new lab at ALC Friday, March 25 at 9 a.m.
