Abstract: This report documents the mechanical design and fabrication of the main control unit (MCU), one component of the Army Research Laboratory's recent upgrade of its signal-processing field hardware used in data collection and algorithm evaluation. The overall upgrade includes six new acoustic sensor units, each of which has one MCU and two analog signal conditioning boxes (ASCBs). Two appendices provide fabrication and assembly details of the MCU and drawings of the custom-built hardware used to assemble the MCU.
