The Computing and Information Science Research Program is planned and executed to provide increased performance and capability for processing and communicating signals, data and information to enhance the war fighters' decision making, situation awareness, command and control, and to improve the performance of weapons systems. A balanced basic research program that addresses science for near-term, mid-term and long-term Army needs will be identified.
