- Dr. Robert Sottilare was recently presented the U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command's (RDECOM) Lifetime Achievement Award.

ORLANDO, Fla. - Dr. Robert Sottilare, associate director for simulation and training for the U.S. Army Research Laboratory's Human Research and Engineering Directorate, was recently presented the U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command's (RDECOM) Lifetime Achievement Award.

Sottilare's pioneering efforts in wide area network research and development environments helped link RDECOM and enabled distributed interactive simulation and high-level architecture distributed simulation research.

Gregory Tackett stated in his letter that "His [Bob's] dedication to the RDECOM and Army modeling and simulation enterprise has been unparalleled."
