Begin a career in a Laboratory of the US Federal Government
Whether within one of the main directorates or centers of CCDC Army Research Lab or at one of our many partner institutions, working in a Laboratory of the US Federal Government provides a variety of unique opportunities to address some exciting and complex real-world challenges. As a member of the Federal workforce, you may find yourself a peer among some of the most talented science and technology professionals in the country, including those within our broad collaborative network (e.g. such as we maintain through our collaborative alliances, UARCs, MURIs, and other Open Campus relationships)! Moreover, bringing the Federal resources to bear, your research can grow in vast directions at world-class research facilities that are rare to encounter in most of the world of basic and applied science.
Some examples of existing and past collaborations include:
- advanced human-in-the-loop machine learning with the Computational and Information Sciences Directorate
- novel human-autonomy teams with the CCDC Ground Vehicle Systems Center
- conceptual human-autonomy framework with Air Force Research Laboratory and the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command
- robotic mechanisms for load carriage with the CCDC Soldier Center
