ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND, Md. -- A group of senior enlisted advisors met with Army researchers during a laboratory tour Aug. 31, 2021.
Command Sgt. Maj. Michael A. Crosby, senior enlisted advisor for Army Futures Command and Command Sgt. Maj. Brian A. Hester, senior enlisted advisor for U.S. Army Central, visited the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command, known as DEVCOM, Army Research Laboratory to learn about additive manufacturing and cold spray technologies.
Crosby said during his visit to APG he hoped to get an understanding of what Army scientists and engineers are doing when it comes to science and technology inside of the labs and centers.
“There is a lot of expertise that is harnessed within the labs and centers that is actually connected to some of the cross-functional teams,” he said.
Crosby said he also hoped to show his fellow command sergeant major what DEVCOM brings to bear when it comes to science and technology.
Hester who has served in every leadership position in the infantry from team leader through command sergeant major asked many technical questions of the researchers.
DEVCOM Senior Enlisted Advisor Command Sgt. Maj. Bryan Barker hosted the visit, along with ARL Senior Enlisted Advisor Sgt. Maj. Luke Blum.
