Experimental Imaging

This effort will investigate developing and improving imaging technologies such as Multi-Energy Flash Computed Tomography, X-ray Cineradiography, Phase Contrast Imaging, and Laser Based Fracture Diagnostics to assist with armor research.

Interior Protection

Current and future Army vehicles carry an abundance of highly energetic materials. Because of the amount of stowed energetic materials, the enemy can leverage the destructive power of their munitions by specifically targeting these materials.

Solid Dynamics

Solid dynamics includes basic research to discover and understand the underlying properties, principles, and mechanisms governing the understanding of computational, analytical, and experimental aspects of impact dynamics.
