Additive Manufacturing for Next Generation Munitions

Structural metal fragmentation warheads, and hybrid AM for electronics, guidance & antenna for munitions to include design optimization. Research focuses on developing and utilizing computational techniques to optimize multi-physics phenomena, such as structural/electromagnetic systems, which are enabled by state-of-the-art manufacturing processes. Applied research programs into the design and development of additive manufacturing feedstocks, processing techniques, and in situ testing for hybrid AM systems.  Development of materials and processes to enable three-dimensional hybrid electronics via AM is the focus of this work.
