Weapons and Energy Projection

Focused on gaining a fundamental understanding of complex flight behaviors – relying on the science of fluid mechanics and rigid body dynamics to enable high maneuverability airframes to intercept moving targets or evade counter measures. Platform maneuverability and navigation technologies for assured delivery of the lethal payload are the primary areas of research interest in this effort.

Weapon-Target Interactions

Research is focused on understanding and exploiting broad classes of weapons-target interactions for efficient, effective lethality and protection. These research efforts are expected to provide a spectrum of capabilities from non-lethal technologies, to overwhelming lethality, to active counter-measures, and terminal point defense.
